Stephen Muldrow grew up in Houston, Texas. He was raised in a Christian home and came to know Jesus at a young age. Stephen has spent time working in many various ministries and mission fields including the jungles of Mexico, inner-city Chicago, and rural Iowa. Stephen loves people, golfing, gardening, and of course, the Houston Astros.  

Stephen met his wife, Kellie, in 2011 while studying for his Master of Divinity degree. After graduation, Stephen served in ministry at churches in Utah and Chicago for several years before getting married to Kellie in 2017. After their marriage, the couple served together in Chicago before returning to Kellie’s hometown of Indianola, in 2018.  Stephen and Kellie have spent the last 8 years serving together in ministry in Iowa with their two children.

Beginning in 2022, Stephen felt burdened about serving his own community and reaching them with the good news of the Gospel. After much prayer, God led Stephen to start The Chapel Baptist Church in Indianola.  The Muldrows truly love the city and people of Indianola, and their desire is to share the Love of Jesus with their neighbors.

Dustin was born and raised in Des Moines, IA. He grew up with a Christian background but didn’t truly know Christ as his Savior until his teenage years. Ever since then, he has been involved in various local churches in the Des Moines area serving as a deacon, teacher, associate and interim pastor. He is passionate about knowing Christ and making Him known. He loves to read the Puritans, theology, history and Christian biography. He also enjoys sports and powerlifting.

Jessi was also born and raised in Des Moines, IA and met Dustin in 2005 at work. He invited her to church and not long after she began attending, she became a Christian. They were married in 2007 and have 4 children. They love serving and ministering together as a family.

Even though Dustin had been in ministry for many years, he began to experience more of a burden for preaching, serving and pursuing ministering full time in 2023 and this call to ministry was confirmed in 2024. They are both excited to be serving the Lord together at The Chapel and pray they can be used to lift up Christ, advance His kingdom, and proclaim His glory in their community in Des Moines and Indianola.
